Many lenders say you can improve your FICO score by 10 to 30 points within 30 to 45 days. The process is both free and simple.

Here’s how:

  • Go to www.optoutprescreen.com
  • At the bottom of the page, click on “Click Here
    to Opt-In or Opt-Out”.
  • Select the “Electronic Opt-Out for Five Years”.
  • Click on “Submit” button.
  • Input your information and input security code.
  • Click on the “Confirm” button.
  • Print the confirmation page for your records.

This action will also reduce the number of pre-approved credit card offers currently being mailed to you.
